Cost Per Click Questions

We offer a 100% free evaluation of your Google Adwords, Bing Ads or even Facebook accounts. All we need is “read only” access to the account so we can evaluate your current account (if you have a current account) so we can assess the effectiveness of the campaigns. If you don’t have any accounts then our analysis will be in the form of a proposal on once we learn about your school and the programs and locations you are marketing in.

We manage smaller trade schools that perhaps only offer 3-4 programs to larger colleges that have 20 or more degree programs. Our smallest school has a marketing budget of $7500 a month and our largest is north of $500,000. Determining the market budget you should use should be based solely on the number of students you want to enroll each month. Most of the time we can come in under the marketing budget you give us and still provide the level of service, number of leads and number of enrollments you school needs each month.

SEO Questions

Bad SEO can be done quickly resulting in your site ranking high for a short period of time and then crashing and possibly even being banned from Google. Good quality SEO takes time and we work closely with our content team as well as Adwords team to come up with a good SEO strategy for your school. We will see some results within the first 60 days but I always like to say you’ll see a noticeable different in quality and rankings within 6 months.

We utilize a content management strategy for our SEO efforts. This combined with social media and CPC marketing allows us to use a lot of the same content for multiple efforts. A good SEO plan usually is only a fraction of what schools currently pay on vendor leads or other forms of advertising like radio and TV. We can show you cases where schools spend $10’s of thousands of dollar a month on advertising that simply doesn’t work yet they won’t invest in SEO. As advertising budgets get smaller now is the perfect time to invest in a quality SEO plan and we can design one to work on any budget.

Yes. This happens all too often and if you have recently received an email from Google explaining that your site has been purchasing leads or irregular linking to sites has red flagged your school then we need to take action asap. Odds are the company was involved in a linking strategy and wasn’t transparent with what they were working on with you. This could and usually involves poor links, links from outside the US or purchasing of links. It isn’t easy but we can help clean up these links and get you down the right path to getting ranked. In some rare cases schools have had their entire site un-indexed from Google.

Social Media Questions

That is a good question but better answered by talking to one of our social media experts. Every school is different and it really depends on how you current use social media. Do you have staff that can assist? Do you utilize current students for referrals? What is a monthly budget you can allocation toward social media? We will discuss all the options to you but rest assured regardless of your budget we need to implement a social media strategy for your school or you’ll be missing out on a big market segment.

It ranges but we see schools that utilize advertising and a good content strategy convert social media leads between 6-8%. The leads are typically less expensive that say Google Adwords leads as we are able to target the advertising more precise.

NO. In fact all of our contracts are set-up month-to-month. We want you to feel comfortable working with our agency and we want to prove to you every month our value and the value we are bringing to your school. Performance is our #1 Priority each month for our clients.

Here at Volcom Education we don’t believe in extra fees or charging clients for extra work just because they might not have the infrastructure to assist us with what is needed. An average account takes 2 weeks on average to setup and an additional week if any graphic design and CRM integration needs to take place. As part of your consulting our team will create anything that needs to be created to take care of the account, this includes: CRM integration, designing new landing pages and even new logo design if that is something we feel you need. The bottom line is we will work with your team as quickly as possible to get your account live and qualified prospects coming in.

All of our experience has been the education industry. We hire individuals who have experience running marketing departments for colleges and even Admissions. We understand how schools need to operate and enjoy helping and watching enrollments increase for the schools we work with.

Great question. Everything that we create and work on gets tracked. Not only internally but in the form of reporting that we share with on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. We don’t work on a single project unless it is signed off by you and discussed in detail. If we need to create any accounts we set them up under the schools name so they have full control and ownership of the account.

We bill monthly on Net 15 terms. All invoices can be paid in the form of a company check. We do not accept cash or credit cards.
